![]() ![]() The new Ghost Wisp is probably the weakest of the bunch, since it was really only used to mix the locations of some hidden red rings compared to where they were in the original game. While these are certainly less exciting than those built around speed, they still make exploring and revising levels with new powers a lot of fun, as they can help you discover new paths that dramatically change the power to a level, and even helping you improve your time or score. Then there are Wisps, which is more aimed at secret collection, solving puzzles and platforming. ![]() Wisps improves the two things that are the key to a great Sonic game: your speed and more paths through a level. These special whisks do a good job of varying the level design without slowing down the Sonic. A pink Wisp can give you the ability to completely bypass a slow platform section by sliding up a wall, a Drill Wisp can lead you to an underground path that is far faster than the one above the ground, and a Laser Wisp can instantly shoot you over a section lined with enemies, and took them all out at the speed of light. There are a total of nine beats you can unlock during Sonic Colors: Ultimate - including a brand new Ghost Wisp that was not in the original game - and they primarily improve the two things that are the key to a good Sonic game: speed your (duh) and the many paths that allow you to find your own way through a level. They unlock as you progress through Sonic Colors, but you can always go back to old levels and play them with Wisps that you unlocked later to gain access to new paths, something we will return to. ![]() Pink Wisps can make you a Spike Ball that lets you cling to walls, yellow Wisps make you a drill that can dig underground, and teal Wisps make you a laser that can bounce off prisms and move at the speed of light. Think of them as transformational power-ups in line with what you find in a Mario game, only you get to choose when to activate your powers. These Wisps are the most important thing that sets Sonic Colors apart from all other Sonic games in the main console, both past and present. What’s important about the story, however, is that it introduces Wisps, the small multicolored aliens that Eggman hunts for. The plot is obviously not what anyone is here for, but it is at least well acted and sprinkled with a few laughs here and there – especially thanks to Cubot and Orbot, Eggman’s two robot henchmen, who still have their own little running gag of Cubot’s voice tag being injured and replaced, much to Eggman’s disappointment. If you don't think any of the above situations apply, you can use this feedback form to request a review of this block.7 ve played before, the story of Sonic Colors will come as no surprise to anyone: Eggman has nothing to do, trying to harness the power of advanced energy to power a thought control weapon, and it’s up to Sonic and Tails to stop. ![]() Contact your IT department and let them know that they've gotten banned, and to have them let us know when they've addressed the issue.Īre you browsing GameFAQs from an area that filters all traffic through a single proxy server (like Singapore or Malaysia), or are you on a mobile connection that seems to be randomly blocked every few pages?
